PhotoLine (v18) Quick Reference Guide
This guide is not a user guide. You can consider it as a Tips & Tricks guide or a guide to work FASTER and EFFICIENT. Sorry to not provide something with pictures or more pretty because of my limited time. But I can guarantee you there are nice things to discover in PhotoLine. Here you can find just some. This guide is not for a beginner. This is for people already using (or used) a design suite. This is for using PL faster. Explaining some confusing features, or guiding to reach functions with ease. For example, it will not tell you what is vectors or how to use vectors. Instead, it will explain how to use them optimized or transform etc. Some parts of this guide are written, some copied from main guide and shortened.
Why I wrote this guide?
I earn my life with being FAST. I don't had to make supersonic designs, but I had to design lightening fast. I never been a user of well known design suites. Because all of those popular design suites are big, "bloated" and "slow". My other problem is integration. Also hate suites spreading on my OS like a virus and slowdown its performance. And somehow (in despite of millions) I couldn't love their interface either. So, up to here, I think most of people understood that I'm a problem guy with obsessiveness :)
I worked over many different suites. All of them were practical, fast and lite. But not powerful. I spent plenty of time in search for a suite covering my needs. I'm a bit late to discover PL. But I'm happy and surprised to see an extremely fast suite which even more powerful than popular ones in many manner. Now, to work efficient with PL, I had to learn it well and use it like I coded it. I started to take notes for myself about interface, settings, shortcuts etc. Since PL is a well armed suite, my notes become like a small book. The notes were already well organized to use it comfortably by any. I just decided to add a few extra content (that I don't need normally) and share it with PL community.
It's written freely with a casual language. By the way,  English is not my native language. There can be structural mistakes. Any offer to fix the guide or offer for better approaches than I mentioned... Warmly welcomes. Just send me a message. And thanks for anyone will ad something to what I know so far. That's all. Let's continue to guide...

LAYERS
>> The Layer Tool
* Doesn't matter which tool is in use, pressing ESC will select Layer Tool. Pressing again turns back to previous tool.
>> Selections
* On canvas, CLICKing on a layer will be selected. CLICKing a second time selects the layer under the selected layer.
* The approach above finds only layer, that are inside the active group. If you want directly select a layer in another group, you can do this by holding CTRL + SHIFT respectively.
* There is a second way of selecting layers. CLICK inside the document and hold the mouse button. Now you can switch using the arrows.
>> Create
* A DOUBLE CLICK on the icon of the layer tool can be used to create a new layer
* While on canvas, CTRL + CLICK on a layer creates a new same size layer.
* If you hold CTRL + SHIFT + DRAG a layer, a "copy" of the layer will be moved.
>> Virtual Copies
* For example a logo. If you copy it as virtual, whenever you change the main, all virtual copies will be modified automatically
* CTRL + ALT + SHIFT and DRAG a layer, will create a virtual copy
>> Vectorize layers
Layer  >  Convert Layer Type...
>> Layer Masks
* While a clipping layer is clipping all its predecessor layers, a layer mask is clipping its parent layer.
* If visibility TickBox is CLICKed while holding SHIFT, the layer will be made a clipping layer. The layer mask state can be modified by CLICKing while holding the CTRL
* CLICKing on the thumbnail while holding SHIFT, you will create a mask based on the brightness of the layer, by holding CTRL the mask will be created based on the transparency of the layer.
* If a layer is an adjustment layer, CLICKing while holding SHIFT turns off the effect of the adjustment mask. ALT + CLICK displays the mask as gray image allowing better editing.
>> Draw Isolated
* Makes even semi transparent layers not to combine. Like making them look like low opacity in white background.
>> Layer Visibility TickBoxes
* CLICKing while holding the ALT, the layer you CLICKed will be the only visible layer. If it was already the only visible layer, all other layers will become visible, too.
>> Moving
* Arrows > Move
* CTRL + Arrows > Move with bigger steps
* By holding SHIFT the layer will only be moved horizontally, vertically or in 45° directions.
>> Sizing & Manipulation
* SHIFT + Arrows             >  Resize (non proportional if proportional box is selected)
* CTRL + SHIFT + Arrows  >  Resize with bigger steps
* ALT + Arrows                >  Turn
* CTRL + ALT + Arrows    >  Turn with bigger steps
* ALT + SHIFT                  >  Turn with 90° steps
> In Raster Layers
* While making resizing in normal mode, if you go a bit out of handler it becomes turning handler.
* While it's in turning handler, if you press CTRL, it lets you to resize layer size (not image in it).
* While working on standard handlers, pressing on CTRL will give you the extended manipulation options
> In Vector Layers
* Normal resize operation just resizes the container of the Vector
* Extended resize (with CTRL) resizes in real manner, like inverted.
* When the move/resize is locked on layer properties. This can be override by pressing SHIFT
BROWSE
* CTRL + B                                   >  Browse
* CTRL + Right CLICK                    >  Keyword and starring context menu

* Pressing ALT while modifying a setting, the new settings will be applied to the whole text
* Pay attention to line height tool "Relative" and "Absolute"
* Combinations like "Te", where the "e" is moved to the left. PhotoLine normally uses this kind of kerning. If you don't want this behavior, you will have to turn Font Kerning off
>> Text on Path
* Shape flow is text that is formatted inside or around another layer
* By CLICKing and dragging the flow symbol (on right down side) to another layer creates a shape flow.
* You can switch between the layers under the mouse by using the arrow keys. In case of trouble try pressing CTRL
* If you want to create shape flow inside a layer , you have to press and hold SHIFT while selecting
> The "Extended" button placed in last tab of "Text Tool" settings...

___ notes begin
Note: I decided to add this resampling notes part for sharing this as a guide on forums. Re-sampling is not something just ordinary in my life. It's extremely important for me and I always test and compare what there is in market. Why not to share now...
> The sizing methods and Page/Doc/Layer etc already self explaining. Lets pass to resamplings...
> Quick : Looks like the well known nearest neighbor approach. Do not use except special cases like resampling texts for OCR software's etc.
> Bilinear : Do not use unless you want to kill your image intentionally
> Bicubic : Do not use where you have option of Lanczos. Since Lanczos beats in all manner except a small CPU performance difference.
> Lanczos 3 : Lanczos is the far forward leader in resampling algorithms. If there is no lanczos in a software, just throw it to rubbish. Because it's the most important standard in resampling for alooong while. In many cases you'll see offerings like "for up scaling x algorithm" / "for down scaling y algorithm"  OR "for photographs x algorithm" / "for drawings y algorithm" etc.  But amazingly, lanczos can be used in all scenarios with success regarding to other competitive. As a summary, if you want to just click and go, you can use it under ant case without worry.  More details come after.
> Lanczos 8 : For those want to go further than standard lanczos. But do not forget that it's such a CPU eater.
> Liquid : First I was confused, that is this. Even my tests were giving awkward results. But after I discovered that it is the famous "Seam Carving" algorithm of Shai and Ariel, it dropped a nice smile on my face. Yes, this is something must to be inside of every designers toolbox.
What it does? It's changing the aspect ratio of images while keeping some parts unchanged.
How to use? Imagine a w:1500 h:1000 panoramic photo of you in a coast line. You want to make this photo square (1000x1000) but don't want to deform yourself on photo. Just take a sample like that and start. First select yourself on photo. You can just make a rectangle selection. But in crowded compositions better to fine select (not as fine as making de-cupe). After selection open Scale Layer dialog (ALT+S), change the interpolation algorithm to Liquid, and change the aspect ratio of your picture. Not a small change, do something wild ;) Bon appetite...
And... There is no such thing as automatic detection, you must to select to have a good result. Still confused what to do or how to?  Google "seam carving" ;)
Ok let's turn back to useful parts back. For those who want to up scale 300% or more in high quality,  sometimes even cant be satisfied with lanczos. In hard cases you need resampling with protecting sharp edges better. And sure there are options for it.
First I want to start from the "overrated" one. The "genuine fractals" algorithm. It's one of those which offers edge preserving resample but for me (let's say me) it must to be in last of the list of its kind. All edge preserving resample algorithms in the market have the same problem. While they are sharpening the edges, in the same while making images like a cartoon films. They simplify the image too much. Never rely on their demos done with 100%  -  200% resampled images. Go and test them yourself starting from 300%. You'll see clearly what I mentioned. Now lets compare...
> Genuine Fractals: The most simplifying one. Even can be able to kill solid color blocks.
> Smartedge: Medium level of simplifying in most cases. Usage practical like genunieF but better results.
> Sar Image Processor: Potential to create miracles but it's extremely parametric. You can not click and go. If you try result will be horrible. But if parameterized good, gives near perfect results.  As a summary, until somebody will code a few AI algorithms to define more than half of it's parameters automatically, its not useful. Just accept it as an experimental algorithm.
Some other algorithms also well known
> Mitchell  and Hermite: Those dudes can also produce good results. You can expect bicubic level results. Nice but also can't be useful against lanczos.
> Bell variations and B-Spline: Actually I don't understand why they call them as resampling algorithm? If you say so, sure they will be considered as un-successful. They must to be re-branded and  used as blur effect algorithms. They can do it smooth and good :)
> S-Spline: The confusing part...  I couldn't find a "useful" utilizer of it except the well known PhotoZoom software. But regarding to my tests over PhotoZoom, results are bright. Not in all scenarios sure. In case of resample to protect edges and with minimum halo effect, you can consider. Actually PhotoZoom must to be installed in nearly all designers PC. It's home version is not useful because of not offering S-Spline max and batch processing and many other details. And the price of pro version is 169 EURO !
Ok great software but, just send you photos to Chinese freelancer sites, with 10 EURO each, they can resample you pixel by pixel :)
Ok that's all. Let's continue to PhotoLine notes...
___ notes end

* False Color (Straight and simple tool to manually colorize gray images. Use channels to improve.)
* Selective Color Correction AND Channel Mixer (To visit before a professional print, flexible color fixer.)
* Threshold (Just visit before vectorizing a layer.)
* Gray Mixer (Need a "tailor-cut" grayscale?  Welcome. Looks like PL taking this issue so serious.)
* Blur/Soften (Noted because works both directions. Just slide to left edge, it goes to sharpen.)
* Chromatic Aberration (Just to keep it in mind for people. This is a color spread artifact happens in digital pictures under some light conditions. Shows itself like flowing red and blue colors around edges. This tool is to fix that issue.)
Note: Pay attention to test it with "Width Compensation" parameter. In case of cropped pictures etc. You'll need this feature.
* White Point (Again to keep in mind. First step before starting a photo...)
>> MODIFY ADJUSTMENT LAYER

* Rectify (Straight and powerful approach to perspective corrections.)
>> EXTERNAL PROGRAMS
If you look for a too specific feature, it's hard to find it in a design suite. Or maybe you want to handle a case in different way, you need a crazy effect etc. If you're waiting for a design suite supporting all, means you are a good dreamer. You must to be a scenarist, not designer :)
In the other part, arent you one of those yelling about bloatness and slow reaction of softwares? If not, means you are one of those lucky having NASA's computers under hand. But 99% of designers are working with consumer PC's. Even high edge makes you feel problem of performance. So, in this kind of needs, instead of bloating design suites, here you have external programs.
Now let's go inside some useful details.
___ notes begin
Click "Manage External Programs" under the "Filter" menu. When you browse a program, the path of the program dropped in interface. Just add it and keep going. But if you will use PL in a USB stick, you'll need to relate PL with other softwares in your USB disk. Means you need relative addressing instead of absolute.
For example if the folder structure is like that in your USB disk…
USB DISK (X letter)
> |Programs
|Editors
| |PhotoLine
| | |PL.exe
|
|Compressors
| |ColorQuantizer
| | |CQ.exe
When you select Color Quantizer, the path will be like that
   X:\Programs\Compressors\ColorQuantizer\CQ.exe
To make it work in USB disk, address must to be modified as;
   ..\..\Compressors\ColorQuantizer\CQ.exe
The meaning of "..\" is "go one level up to parent folder"
So in the first "..\" address will move up to "Editors" folder, in second "..\" it will move to "Programs" folder, and than start to go down in level until matching CQ.exe.
(Note that you can not use ColorQuantizer because of TIFF file limitation explained below, it was just an example)
PhotoLine supports relative addressing. If you have trouble to set it, you need a manual aproach. Go to "UserSettings" folder under PhotoLine, open the "PhotoLine.xml" file with a text editor (not with notepad since it is ANSI by default, can damage the file), search for "Extern0Name" string. There you will see addresses to edit manually. Don't forget to take a backup of your settings file, before proceeding.
* Second issue is the format of export file.
To support also CMYK color, PhotoLine exports layers/document etc as (only) TIFF file. That's why you can not use some pretty programs. To give a well known example, it's not possible to use FotoSketcher for this moment. But good news is, FS developer is working on it.
(And hope Mr Gerhard will let us to choose PNG in a following release. External programs is an important feature for expandibility. Most of the brilliant programs even doesn't plan to support TIFF. Since it is just for publishing industry. No other advantages in any other field)
* Third issue is to understand how it works.
As usual in other suites, PhotoLine creates a temporary TIFF file for your export and sends it to external program with parameters. Because of that, some amateur coders programs may not accept the file. Well known examples are maybe the .NET programs. But no matter since you cant expect a bright result from a developer which can only code in .NET platform :)
Anyway, where we left???
When the external program gets the file, PhotoLine starts to monitor it. When the external program is closed, PhotoLine loads back the exported TIFF file and overwrite the active layer.
* Second most important issue after the TIFF limitation.
Most of the retouch or effect tools do not overwrite files. They open a "Save As" dialog instead. And this is something PhotoLine can not deal unless it will integrate a debugger :)  Sure not needed...
PhotoLine uses temp folder to create files. If you see a "Save As" dialog, you must to browse to your temp folder. Sure it will be a hard deal to locate that folder each time.
Here comes the easy solution;
Right Click on your desktop, Click on  New > Shortcut  and paste   %TEMP%   inside address dialog. After name it as you wish.
When the external program offered you "Save As", locate desktop and click on this shortcut. This will take you to the Temp folder. You'll find the temp folder bloated with tons of files, but no matter just click Save. If it asks you "do you confirm overwrite" say OK and consider it done. If didn't asked...  Means your program adds something on files name. Just delete that part and than save.

>> MANAGE PLUGINS
That needs some notes also...
___ notes begin
* Just a personal advice, locate folders manually…
* If the PhotoLine is your only editor using your plugins, just move your plugins to its default folder. Got to PhotoLine folder. After "Defaults" > "Plugins"...
If there is no, just create this folder. PhotoLine will see all under this folder directly
* You can not move all plugins from their default folder. Some spoiled developers coding plugins with the same mentality of PS. This mentality is to think that PC is bought just to use for their software :)   Those sent some DLL's to System folder, some to appdata and using registry entries (or hardcoded) for their addressing. Just try to "copy" them in Plugins folder under PhotoLine. If it is not working delete them...
TIPS: If you'll move their DLL's under their folder, most of the plugins becomes portable.
I'm using more than 40 plugins from USB disk ;)  If you need to use one plugin from USB, and it is important for you. Just email me and give the info's of plugin. I can create you a simple patch.
* 32 bit plugins will display only in 32 bit version of PhotoLine. Same applies to 64bit PhotoLine for 64 bit Plugins.
(Hope Mr Gerhard will give a hand to this issue also)
* Nearly 95% of PS plugin works with PhotoLine with success. But this is regarding to just my experience. The ones I use are mostly freewares and it's a shame that they are the ones coded best in sense of being straight and being compatible. Commercial plugins are with more caprice and can change my 95% statement.

And last under FILTERS menu…
* CTRL + SHIFT + L  >  Repeat Last filter action.
The last action automatically displays in the bottom of Filter menu and always can be repeated with a fixed shortcut.
>>> EFFECTS
* Frame (Normally I always stay away from fixed frame tools but this is really useful)
* 3D Body (Nice for text effects. You must to use it with an image with transparent background to see better. Don't try it with JPEG photos and after say that this is just another frame filter :)
Note: Regards to developers again...  This feature and can be great with 2 extras
1. Option to colorize expanding sides with color of images matching that side.
2. Option to select corner render like  straight "|" 45° "/" Curves "(" etc. ")"
With that 2 add, there will be something great.
>> EFFECT FILTERS
* Mosaic (Not a yet another mosaic filter. With it's options, it becomes sooo flexible)
* Lightning (Another one with many parameters to catch your dream)
Note: The only problem of this effect is not natural looking angles of sub twigs. The angles from the main strike shouldn't be more than 90° This looks a bit weird. To fix it play with "Random Factor" after it "Random Angle" under the "Parameters" tab.
(Again I'll send regards to developers. It's good enough but let's make it perfect???)
* Lights (Probably you'll also fail like me and try to turn direction from the vector on preview. Ops, check left...)
* Emboss (Check parameters, you can create thousands of variations. But it doesn't have access to shapes list. Noted to not to make you look and search like me)
* Projection (What I fall in love with...)
This need a bit explanation...
___ notes begin
It's an powerful tool gives you a door to make amazing designs from flat images. Hard to explain in here but really easy to discover and use from interface. It's a great piece of work. Just a few notes...
> Set your both background and foreground colors as transparent in editor (some cases it effects)
> Open Projection tool and start with "Body" tab to define your shape first. I think it must be located as first tab.
> Second, start to play with the corners of the vector in left. There is no deform, just drag/size in it's native angles.
> Note that, the canvas where vector is displayed is not just a canvas. Drag the vector slowly out of canvas and see what's happening ;)
For example, select the ring as a shape and drag it to canvas corner to until half of it will be out of canvas. Ops? The ring now become a sphere. It's easy to understand the logic. Just play a bit. Trying is better than reading.
Most important part is, you are not limited with those shapes. You can import your own vectors. To do it in practical way...
1. Open desired object as a photo. For example a vase.
2. Trim the half of it vertically. Now we have a half vase.
3. Got to "Tool > Color > Threshold" and make it duo-tone If couldn't, try with reduce colors.
4. Click on "Automask" tool and select the body part of the half vase...
5. Right Click > Convert to Lasso Layer, than delete the old image layer.
6. Click "Layout > Vector > Optimize Vector Layer" Click on "Curve Optimization" tick box (and start to play with "value" to get smoother result.)
7. After it, do your last manual edits or just continue to step 8
8. Save As PLD...
Ok now you can import your own shape...
___ notes end
* Drawing Filter (Playground :)
* Tear Paper (Smart effect, I needed it many times before)
>> SPECIAL TOOLS
Most of them are self explaining. Just the...
* Generate Pattern (You can not see this option active in each image. I didn't spent time to discover it's criteria but as far as I can say...   It really understands the images which can be a pattern and activates suddenly. I don't know how??)
>> SHAPE TOOLS
Nearly all those are self explaining also. Here you'll find great tools. I just want to note on...
* Distort Image with Image (I still didn't test intensively but it's logic is explained in the guide. Just check it. What I understood from guide is, if this filter can be used smart, it can create miracles. But I didn't create one miracle yet :)
* Any filter name starts like "Distort With..." will be a nice friend of you.
* Distort Frame (I didn't understand why this effect placed in menu? Since we can do it more flexible from standard toolbar.)
* Morph (Here you will find fun, but actually more than it)
>> DISTORT
All effects in here works with vector layers. They aim to create stylish edge effects, except one can be used also with images... That is...
* Outline Warping (Here comes another 3D effect maker from 2D...)
>> LAYER STYLES
All of them parametric but also explaining themselves better in interface. And don't forget to adjust curve part also, will change lot.
The web tools are waiting to review.
After...
One day...
OPTIONS
As it says... Options
Anything under it are just my decisions to make my working environment comfortable. You will chose your own. But maybe some mentioned details can inspire you.
>> FILE
> PDF
* Just to remind one issue. There is difference between "Save As" and "Export" PDF. Read it under guide or "MENU" > "FILE" section.
* Do not forget that 300 DPI will be fine for printing mediums
* Text Compression (Just ZIP-Best, no need to even think)
* Image Compression (ZIP for better quality, JPEG for smaller but with loss)
* Transparency (Replace Background to not have headache. PDF will not satisfy you in transparency under any case)
* Fonts (Convert forbidden fonts to paths can be nice but. Always pay attention to the fonts that you use. If not you will have huge file sizes.)
* Color Space (Left original if you confused)
* Export Only Printable Layers (Ah sure...)
* Start Slide Show... (If you want to be annoying, why not)
> PNG
* Compression (Best pack better size...)
* Reduce Colors (God no...  If selected, it will kill all saved PNG's. But click on ask will be fine)
> TIFF
* Format For Saving (Keep it unpacked, be compatible. TIFF is not a choice for Internet sharing under any case. So, I think size doesn't matters. And stay away from JPG, be compatible)
* Save Layer/Page Images (Make it "Ask" be flexible)
* Open Multi-page Files on Pages (Keep it de-selected if you are confused)
>> WORKING
> BRUSH
* Only Draw Once (Refer to manual for detail. But I believe selecting it is the most logic approach for standard usage)
* Connect Brush Positions (If somebody knows what it is, please explain me also)
> SPECIAL
* Create New Layers At The Top (Depends, for me no, sure...)
* Rectangle Selection: Only If Completely Inside (Select if you want to make more sensitive multi-layer selections)
* Color information from active layer (This is something that you can manage easily in workspace. For me better to keep it de-selected.  And developer says selecting it even can slowdown PL)
* Sample Size (Nice feature, keep it auto. You can override it by using rectangle selection in color tool)
* Read Colors in HSV Mode (For me no thanks, happy with working RGB as standard to get used to better)
* Show Color Beside The Color Picker (Select it if you're happy with the small box near to color picker)
> VECTOR
* Keep them as they are if you don't know. Note that you can override anytime.
> UNDO
* Just put your memory limit, let it manage the rest. Limit is not your RAM amount. Let's say it half of it in maximum!
> CURSOR
* Precise Cursor (You want a small cross instead of cursor. Click so...)
* Use System Mouse Cursor (Just select it. You'll be happy. Details in guide)
* Clear With Right Mouse Button (Select to be more fast in drawing. Left draws, Right button deletes.)
* Scroll Image Content by Mouse Wheel (I select it because I need option to use scroll for both zoom and pan each direction)
> SPELL CHECKER
* Install aSpell in here      http://aspell.net/win32/
* Dictionaries here           ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/0index.html
* F7  enables / disables
>> DISPLAY
> EXTREME VALUES
* Nice to see over threaded areas. Details in guide. I adjust it 3% / 97& for better investigate.
> DOCUMENT
* Keep both "Edge Width's  50% for comfort. Details in guide.
* 3-D Document Frame (De-select for more plain work-flow which will not confuse you in some cases)
> LAYER
* Screen Quality of Vector Graphics  (Don't choose "high" be faster ;)
> GRID
* Grid type point will display less distracting view. And setting it's color as transparent will show dots in contrast to each color automatically. This is what I can suggest regarding to my view.
> GUIDES
* Distance (If you use snapping functions, better to set it around 2 px.
* ALT + DRAG Inverts Snapping (Select all, be more flexible)
> SCREEN RESOLUTION
* Open this window, measure the red line with a ruler, write the value in "Length" field.
Not finished, put [1:1] button to toolbar also to reach easy.
Now you can see the real size of design with one click...
>> BROWSE
> PREVIEW IMAGES
* Size (Don't make yourself tired to decide. It's changing dynamically with CTRL + SCROLL while browsing)
> SETTINGS
* Overwrite Existing Preview Images (Select it to avoid creation tons of thumbs cache files. But if your disk is slow, better to keep it de-selected.)
* Browse File (Suggested to set as "Save In User Folder"  Otherwise it will drop one from it on all folders.)
* Save Browse File for Read Only Volumes (Select also)
* Action After Opening Image (Defines what to do when you double click and sent image to PL from browser. If opening multiple images each time "No Action" if opening and checking one by one "Minimize Window" will be better for you. Confused?  Minimize...)
> CREATION
Most of the time browse can freeze dramatically.  Click and select Aldus and Quicktime to prevent need of extra drivers. For what using Quicktime by the way? For me even don't use but :)
In the lower part there is an option for PDF and raw camera also. I suggest to enable all tickboxes in this page.
Note: Aldus I don't have, Quicktime, I have allergy...  But I can give an example on PDF which exists in my PC... Using i7 CPU with SSD and 4 pieces of mid size PDF files even freezing for 10 second. God no... I disabled all.
>> COLOR MANAGEMENT
> DEVICES
* You want to use proof mode, match printer and screen colors, use color profiles in safe settings but you don't have any idea what to do?
In this case you can just set all available to "sRGB IEC61966"... If not available set to "System" and render as Perceptual.  "sRGB IEC" is the standard you can find nearly in all environment. Now next step is setting up your printer. If your printer is B/W just forget what I wrote up to now and take a rest :)  If color, go to settings of your printer and find the profile setting area. Voila, there is also sRGBIEC ;)
This approach is way to use proof mode in practical way. But I offer to learn about profiles better and do settings better than this.
Note: when sharing file with other designers tell them your file is in sRGB-IEC. Normally the software should understand but you can not know how they set it up.
>> EXTENDED
> PERIPHERY
* Data Transmission (Keep default, if not try others. Use native as last option.)
* Max Output Resolution (If confused about it, just set it to 300 DPI to avoid surprises about printing performance. If you use a wireless connected printer and broadcast quality is weak, make it 300 DPI also, or less)
> COPY
* Write WMF to Clipboard (Don't use it unless you copy from PhotoLine and paste directly to MS Office apps like Excel Word etc.  Normally, under any case you can copy/paste. Actually I even didn't understand why developers put this performance trap :D which needs to convert clipboard data each time)
* Handle Copy Data on Program Exit (Ask or Destroy. Let's make it ask. This is just asking "should I clear clipboard content or you'd like to save it")
* Insert Position (If you will make it "At Mouse Position", you will be more comfortable on big canvas collage works)
* Font Replacement (Sometimes when you try to open a file with non-existing font, it asks you "this font do not exist in your system, should I use xyz instead?". Well this time you shouldn't pass all dialogs YES YES YES like you are reading and EULA of a software. Do it carefully. Try to find best matching font.
Why?
Because PhotoLine is recording all. Next time it will not ask you.  PL will say he/she preferred "x" font instead of "y" font regarding to past choices. And it will directly fix attributes.
You already did that YES YES YES mistake?
No matter, from this dialog you can clean your dirty past :)
